Patterns
Gina has noticed two patterns, thus far. One, she is much more tired than usual. And two, her food desires vary from day to day. As mentioned previously, Gina enjoys Thai food. She spent three months in Thailand, and returning home she brought back a love of their food. Yesterday, I recommended we eat Thai. As I finished my sentence I watched as she almost vomited in her mouth. It was the opposite of awesome. When I recommended Ethiopian food (we had it a few days prior, she was craving it) she gave me the head shake.
We were stumped. What to eat? We settled on Anglo-American food, which hit the spot: Anglo fish and chips (low mercury fish, of course), and American chicken sandwiches. As we finished our meal we sat back and did the Thanksgiving tummy pat, and memorialized our poor stuffed bellies:
“Oh man, my stomach. I’m so full.”
“Me too, I can’t believe we ate all of that.”
“Finish my fries.”
“I can’t, can’t do it, I’m so full”
-Server, “Would you guys like dessert?”
“Yes, an apple crisp please.”
I would be lying if I said I didn’t love this.
